Pipedrive Retired Its Dialer, and It Was Never a Power Dialer
Pipedrive used to ship a native dialer called Caller. It stopped accepting new customers in October 2022 and was fully removed by December 31, 2023, and even before that it was a modest tool: outbound-only click-to-call from the web app, no inbound, paid from prepaid calling credit by call duration. Today Pipedrive’s own Knowledge Base says it directly: Pipedrive doesn’t have a built-in calling integration, and the same article points users to Marketplace calling apps, naming Kixie PowerCall and SMS in its list. So the question practitioners keep asking on Reddit, is there an autodialer for Pipedrive, has a vendor-endorsed answer: it comes from the Marketplace, and the real differences are how many lines it dials and how faithfully results land back in Pipedrive.
How the Kixie PowerDialer Works Over Pipedrive Data
1. Start From the Segments You Already Have
Pipedrive teams think in Filters and list-views, and Kixie dials them where they live. Open any Pipedrive list-view, filtered or not, and dial from it: DirectSync ties every call to the exact record in the view. That distinction matters, because generic dialers match calls by phone number, and when duplicates share a number the log can land on the wrong contact. The full matching logic lives on our Pipedrive automatic call logging page.
2. Dial Multiple Lines, Talk Only to Humans
The Kixie PowerDialer places multiple calls in parallel and uses AI voicemail detection to tell live answers from machines and IVRs. Reps are bridged only when a person picks up, so a session produces conversations per hour instead of listening time. When the AI detects an answering machine instead, the rep can drop a pre-recorded message with one click and keep dialing; that flow has its own page at voicemail drop for Pipedrive.
3. One Disposition Click Moves the Deal
This is the part no single-line setup ever gave Pipedrive users. Every outcome the rep picks logs as a completed Pipedrive activity on the Person, mirrored to the linked Organization and Deal, and Pipedrive Automations can trigger on it. Mark a call Connected, and an Automation moves the Deal to the next stage, creates the follow-up activity, or sends a native Pipedrive email. The rep is already on the next call while the pipeline updates itself, and because everything logs as activity types, Insights reports on the whole session automatically.
The Honest Answer on Dialing Pipedrive Filters
Two paths, clearly labeled. The native-feeling one: apply a Filter, open the list-view, dial from it with DirectSync. No middleware, no exports, exact-record logging. The automated one: to run a Filter as a managed PowerList queue that fills itself, connect it through Zapier’s Deal Matching Filter trigger, the Kixie API, or a CSV export. That second path is real and reliable, but it is not a native list sync, and any vendor telling you otherwise is glossing. The same Zapier trigger also powers event-driven auto-calling from Pipedrive on Kixie Professional plans. One more owner-shaped detail: with Pipedrive webhook and API sync enabled, PowerDial sessions can place each call from the record owner’s own Kixie number, so the prospect sees the rep who owns the deal.
Local Presence and Number Health, Built In
The fair objection to parallel dialing is caller ID reputation. Kixie answers it with local presence dialing, which shows prospects a number local to their area code, managed by ConnectionBoost: automated number health monitoring that retires and replaces degrading numbers, carrier registration through a direct First Orion partnership, and STIR/SHAKEN A-Level attestation on every call. Since Pipedrive no longer provides any telephony, your numbers are Kixie’s responsibility, and that responsibility is managed rather than left to chance. Answered calls always reach a live rep thanks to voicemail detection, so higher volume never means dead-air calls from your brand.
What You Need Before You Start
- A Pipedrive account. No specific tier is required to connect Kixie. If you want dispositions to drive stage moves, Pipedrive Automations are included on the Growth plan and above.
- A Kixie account with the PowerDialer add-on. The Pipedrive integration itself comes with Kixie; multi-line PowerDialer capability depends on your Kixie plan, and AI Human Detection and ConnectionBoost are available as premium add-ons.
- Activity types added once. Your admin adds Kixie’s custom activity types so calls, texts, dispositions, and voicemails are first-class Pipedrive objects for Filters, Automations, and Insights.
Recordings attach to every logged call with included cloud storage, and setup is a one-time authorization. Start with the Pipedrive integration overview for logging, texting, and setup details, then run your first multi-line session from the Filter your team already trusts.
