Two Ways to Connect
There are two ways to get Kixie calls into monday.com, and many teams use both. The custom integration is set up for you by Kixie Solutions and handles call logging for one board. Kixie webhooks are the do-it-yourself route: they send every call and text to an automation tool, which writes to any board or column you choose. This guide covers each, then the reverse direction, where monday events start calls and texts in Kixie.
Path A: The Custom Integration
Ask your Kixie contact for the monday.com custom integration. A solutions engineer schedules a short session and connects it on the back end. Have two things ready. First, a monday API token: click your profile picture in monday.com, choose Developers, then API token and Show. The token carries its owner’s permissions, so use an account that can see the board. Second, the board your team works from, and which column holds phone numbers.
Once connected, each Kixie call logs to the matching item with the recording, the rep’s CRM Notes from the dialer, and the call outcome. Kixie also uses that phone column for caller ID, so the item name shows when a lead calls. Scheduled follow-ups do not sync and stay in monday. More detail is on the monday.com call logging page.
Path B: Kixie Webhooks
1. Create the receiver
In Zapier, start a Zap with Webhooks by Zapier and the Catch Hook event, and copy the URL. Make and n8n work the same way with their own webhook modules.
2. Send Kixie events to it
In the Kixie dashboard, go to Manage, Automations, Webhooks, click Add, and paste the URL. Pick the event: End Call for every call, SMS for texts in both directions, Disposition when a rep logs an outcome, or Voicemail for inbound voicemails. The End Call payload includes the call type and status, duration, the numbers in E.164 format, the recording URL, the disposition, and the rep’s name and email. Webhooks are on the Kixie Professional plan and up.
3. Find the item
Add monday’s Get Items by Column Value search, choose your board and phone column, and map the lead’s number. monday stores a phone value with a country code, so keeping numbers in one format makes matching reliable. Add a branch for no match: Create Item makes a new item, or the Zap can stop.
4. Write the call
Add monday’s Create Update action and post a short summary on the item: direction, result, duration, rep, outcome, and the recording link. To change a status or date column, add Update Item. Test with a call to an item you know, then turn the Zap on.
The Other Direction: monday Starts the Call
monday’s Zapier triggers New Item in Board, Item Moved to Group, and Specific Column Value Changed in Board are instant. Pair one with a Kixie action. Make a Call rings a rep and then the lead. Send SMS texts from a rep’s number. Add to PowerList queues items for the PowerDialer, and Add to Cadence starts a timed series of calls and texts. Kixie’s Zapier connection needs the API key and Business ID from Manage, Account Settings, Integrations. The monday.com speed to lead page has a full example.
If you build a webhook from monday’s own automations instead, note that monday checks every webhook URL by sending a challenge token the URL must echo back. Zapier and Make handle that. Custom endpoints need to handle it themselves.
Keep It Clean
A few habits prevent most problems. Keep one phone column per board in a consistent format. Check your monday plan’s daily API call limit if your team makes a lot of calls, since each logged call uses a few requests. And log each call once: if the custom integration already writes to a board, do not point a webhook Zap at the same board. For everything else the two tools do together, see the Kixie and monday.com integration overview.
