The Board Only Knows What Gets Logged
Teams that run sales on monday.com like it because the board is flexible. Groups can be stages, status columns can be anything, and everyone sees the same view. The weak spot is the phone. A rep who makes dozens of calls a day will not open each item and type up what happened, so the board shows who should have been called, not who actually was.
Kixie closes that gap with a custom monday.com integration. Once it is connected, the calls your reps make and take in Kixie are logged to the matching item on your board, and monday stays the source of truth even though the calls run through Kixie.
How the Custom Integration Gets Set Up
monday.com is not a toggle in the Kixie dialer’s CRM settings. A Kixie solutions engineer sets it up on the back end. Expect a short working session: you share an API token from your monday account and point to the board your team works from, and the engineer connects it and explains how it will behave with your setup.
You find the token in monday.com under your profile picture, Developers, API token. A token carries the permissions of the user who owns it, so it should belong to someone who can see the board you want logged.
What Lands on the Item
Each call logs with three things a manager needs. The call recording, so anyone on the item can listen back. The notes the rep typed in the CRM Notes section of the PowerDialer. And the call outcome the rep picked before clicking Save and Dial Next. Outcomes are customizable in Kixie, so they can match the statuses your team already uses on the board.
Notes in the PowerList Notes section stay in Kixie. They exist for teams without a CRM and pull up the next time that contact is on the phone.
Plan Around One Board
This is the part to settle before setup. The integration connects to one monday board. If every lead sits on a single board and you use groups or columns to organize them, it fits well. If leads are spread across several boards, you can consolidate them, accept that only one board syncs, or write the rest with Kixie webhooks.
Matching works by phone number. Kixie looks up the number in the board column that holds it, which is also how the dialer shows the item name when someone calls. If a known lead shows up as private, the number is usually missing from that column or stored in a different format. Keep numbers in one phone column in a consistent format, and test with a call to an item you know.
What Stays in monday
Scheduling does not sync. If a rep promises a call back on Thursday, the follow-up is set in monday directly, with a date column or a monday automation that reminds the item owner. Kixie’s PowerLists and Cadences can handle the call attempts themselves, as the monday.com power dialer page explains.
When You Need More Than One Board
Kixie webhooks send call and text data the moment a call ends or a message is sent. Point them at Zapier, Make, or n8n, find the item by phone number, and post the details as a monday update on any board you choose. The monday.com setup guide walks through that build step by step.
