Do you love to code and are a jack-of-all trades problem solver who would be excited to join a rapidly growing startup? Kixie is offering an incredible opportunity to join a small and growing team in Los Angeles and build our next generation of products and services.

What is Kixie?

Kixie is a venture backed start-up in Los Angeles funded by a top LA Venture Capital Firm (Mucker Capital). We help sales teams make better sales calls in minutes with a cloud voice solution (think slack for voice).

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will be versatile and highly motivated with a strong sense of commitment and teamwork. This position is for a senior front-end engineer working across all tiers as needed and developing web applications using Node.js, AWS Lambda, AWS Elasticsearch and MySQL for backend. We are growing rapidly and looking for candidates who are detailed-oriented and take pride in their work.

Skills

• 6+ years Javascript, HTML5, CSS3
• 4+ years React
• 3+ years AWS
• 2+ years Typescript

Job requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Related Field
• Experience building highly-scalable interactive web applications
• Experience and understanding of AWS and AWS tools
• Extended knowledge of JavaScript and Node.js
• History with one of the major web frameworks (E.g. React, Vue)
• Experience working in a test-driven development
• Experience with HTML/CSS and React
• Experience with data visualization (D3, Highcharts, or other charting libraries)
• Solid understanding of REST API design, RDBMS, ES6/7, AWS
• Experience with source control, preferably Git
• Passion for innovation. You should be a person who thrives on creating innovative and scalable technology applications without always requiring instruction.
• Desire to continuously learn, problem-solve and acquire new skills with cutting-edge technology
• Most importantly, a strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and character
• Development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and deployment
• Working knowledge of Agile/SCRUM development methodologies and best practices
